Murshidabad is in the bank of
River Bhagirathi. It is famous as a tourist spot for the winter season. You can
reach here by road or by train. It is also a picnic spot. But if you want to
know the historical jewels of Murshidabad, you have to stay here for 2-3 days.
Murshidabad was the last capital of Bengal-Bihar-Odisha. At the bank of River
you can see the famous “Hazar-duari”, made by ‘Nabab Humayunzaa’. The
construction of “Hazar-duari” was finished in the year 1838. 18 lack rupees
were spending to finish it. Now it is the Museum of A.S.I.
this museum is open for public from 10 AM to 5 PM except Friday. You will see a
beautiful garden of flower at the outside of the palace. You can also visit
Imam Bara, Haldi Masjid, Ghori Ghar, Chak Masjid, Minar, Bachchawali Toap,
Madina Masjid, and Wasef
Manjil Palace.
You can visit these places by walking. But to traveling for long distance you
can avail Auto or Tanga. At first visit at Katra Masjid. Structure of the
Masjid is mind blowing. Founder of this Historical Monument
is ‘Nabab Murshid Kuli Khan’. Here you will find his grave. At Adinath Jain Temple
you will find the art of marble. At Kathgola Bagan you will see the palace made
by Dugar Prince. Apart from that you can also visit the grave of “Nabab Shiraj”
and “Alibardi” at Khoshbag at the opposite end of the River.

Sealdah which is going to Lalgola. Distance is 193 kms.
